As a kid, there was not much I enjoyed more early on Sunday mornings than catching episodes of the Claymation series, Davey and Goliath. The show was about a boy, Davey, and his talking dog, Goliath, and was produced by the United Lutheran Church. Creator Dick Sutcliffe, hired Art Clokey, creator of Gumby to produce the stop motion animation series made up of 65 episodes. The shows were parables that conveyed messages of Godliness but did not come off as preachy. Sutcliffe was 90 when he passed on May 11th, 2008.
