My friend Rusty took this shot for me on a recent trip to Amelia Island.

I was motivated this morning (and had some time) to clean out some of the stuff in my office at home. There were a number of technological gadgets I had been holding on to for some reason that I found pushed to the back of a cabinet. They remind me how quickly things are outdated, even the new, slick Doeseverything from MicroAppleDell. Here are a few of the items getting trashed:

1. Netgear Wireless PC Card (2.4 GHz, 54 Mbps)

2. irock 64mb mp3 player (I pulled a 128mb media card out of it – not sure if I can use it elsewhere)

3. Targus Retractable Phone Cord

4. 2 sets of Sony in-ear headphones (no, they don’t sound good)

5. Nikon One Touch Zoom 90 35mm Camera

6. Cellphone Headseat

7. Sony Discman ESP2 CD Player

I am holding on to a Canon Powershot A80 4.0MP digital camera although I just got Jill a new Canon Elph for Christmas and also keeping a 40GB iPod with no video…I am sure I will be throwing them out as useless in another few years.
